North Penn’s tough week ends with non-league loss to Parkland
TOWAMENCIN —With a 10-7 loss to Parkland on Friday the North Penn girls lacrosse team sits at 6-5 overall under first year coach Heather Mellow. The Maidens have been through the good and the bad times this spring. The non-league loss probably capped off the worst week of the spring season.
“We are struggling this week,’ Mellow said. “We played a terrible game last night in terrible conditions and with a game today we did not have any recovery time.’
The Maidens watched their upset bid of Souderton fall seconds short on Tuesday, followed that heartbreaker with a tough loss to Pennsbury on Thursday, and capped it off with a frustrating Friday against the Lady Trojans. The Maidens are 3-2 in the Suburban One League National Conference and will try to get back on track Tuesday against Neshaminy.
