TCA denied by Atlantic Christian in title game
The Christian Academy girls basketball team beat Atlantic Christian a little more than a week ago because the Crusaders were able to get Cougar center Ola Oguntuase in foul trouble.
That wasn’t the case in Saturday’s Tri-State Christian Conference championship game.
The 6-0 senior stayed on the floor and tallied seven of her game-high 22 points in the second quarter to propel Atlantic Christian to the league title with a 40-30 victory over TCA at Cairn University.
Oguntause’s inside work staked the Cougars to a 19-11 halftime lead.
“We couldn’t stop her,’ TCA coach Jason Wilt said. “She was just too big and too strong.’
Gracie Cryan led TCA (14-6) with ith 13 points. Krystal Mason pitched in with six.
