Carli Sitkowski’s direct free kick from a tough angle somehow found the net, but it turned out to be the only goal for The Christian Academy in a 3-1 loss to Cumberland Christian in the Tri-State Christian Conference girls soccer semifinals Thursday.

Madison Dutton turned aside a dozen shots to keep it close for the Crusaders, who will close out their season with a consolation match Saturday, 9 a.m., at Cairn University.
