Burnetta leads Agnes Irwin over GA

Junior striker Kristin Burnetta ignited the Agnes Irwin attack, producing a goal and an assist as the Owls (9-3 overall, 7-2 league) avenged an earlier loss by taking down Germantown Academy, 3-1, in the Inter-Ac League Friday.

Burnetta fed Hannah Keating for the opening goal and senior captain Nicole Paradis sent AI to the locker room with a 2-0 lead. Burnetta sealed it with a 20-yard blast in the second half, providing enough cushion for keeper Kendall Shein (eight saves) to hold on for the win.

Episcopal Academy 8, Notre Dame 0: Tara Boyle riddled the Irish defense for four goals and fellow senior Maria Kilcullen fashioned a hat trick, while Molly O’Brien added a goal and two assists to make it an easy shutout for Taylor Long.
