Haverford booted from playoffs by Owen J. Roberts

Haverford went from being the No. 28 seed in the District One Class AAA girls soccer playoffs to hosting a play-in game after Tuesday’s seeding reconfiguration left the Fords on the outside looking in.

Wednesday was Haverford’s chance to show that it deserved to be in the tournament. Owen J. Roberts, the 27th seed, had the same idea and motivation.

The Fords fell behind in the opening half and saw their season slip away in the second, dropping a 4-1 decision to the visiting Wildcats.
