Civera powers Chichester past Academy Park

Becca Civera collected six service aces and five kills to power the Chichester volleyball team to a 3-1 Del Val League victory over Academy Park Tuesday. Maddie Thornton (four kills), Melissa Ferrara (eight assists) and Saffron Deasey chipped in with two aces each.

Chester 3, Penn Wood 1: Shamyiah Cottman led the way for the Clippers with 10 kills, six digs, four assists and three blocks. Yamilette Garcia also had 10 kills.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Notre Dame 3, Baldwin 0: Madi Brennan (seven aces, six kills) and Claire Thompson (four solo blocks) helped the Irish (9-1, 4-0) remain undefeated in the league.

In the Catholic League:

Cardinal O’Hara 3, St. Hubert 0: Kiki Daly (seven kills, two digs) and Erin Daly (six kills, four digs) came up big for the Lions (12-3, 5-1). Breanna Hickey added four kills, two aces, four digs and five assists.

Archbishop Wood 3, Bonner-Prendergast 0: Jackie McCarrick collected 33 defensive digs and Amber Ballinger added 12 kills and 12 digs for the Pandas (5-4, 4-2).

In the Central League:

Garnet Valley 3, Lower Merion 1: Brianna Plush (13 kills), Kiley Price (nine kills) and Maria Nicolaides (nine kills, four blocks) were strong at the net for the Jaguars (12-1, 8-0).
