Nihill’s four goals help O’Hara cruise
Hannah Nihill scored four times to power Cardinal O’Hara to a 7-0 nonleague triumph over Garnet Valley in field hockey action Monday.
Nihill had the first, fourth, fifth and seventh goals for the Lions. Jess Randazzo added two goals, while goalie Maureen Heneghan made 14 saves to post the shutout. Hailey Valerio stopped 21 shots, and Melissa Rheinstadler and Maureen Sullivan made defensive saves for the Jaguars.
In other nonleague action:
Episcopal Academy 7, Hatboro-Horsham 0: Margauz Paolino collected three goals and two assists to pace the Churchwomen. Courtnie Williamson added two goals and Jenna Lotsis chipped in with one goal and one assist.
Delco Christian 6, Shipley 1: Maggie Linton scored two of her three goals in the first half. Madison Moore tallied twice and Siani McNeial dished out three assists for the Knights (3-6).
Bonner-Prendergast 9, Upper Darby 2: Jessica Campell scored three times and the Pandas tallied six goals in the first half to get past the Royals. Kerrianne McGee and Bridget Johnson had the goals for Upper Darby.
In the Central League:
Harriton 2, Lower Merion 0: Taylor Strecko had a strong game on senior night. Carly Adams supplied one goal and one assist, while Lilly Furcht got the Rams (6-4) on the board in the first half.
