Ballinger, Cummings lead the way for Bonner-Prendie

Amber Ballinger and Megan Cummings led the way as Bonner-Prendergast rolled over West Catholic, 3-0. Ballinger recorded 17 kills and Cummings had 14 assists and nine aces.

Archbishop Carroll 3, Cardinal O’Hara 2: Meghan MacWilliams had 41 assists as O’Hara fell in its Catholic League opener. Natalie Gray added three aces and 32 digs, while Charlee Borcky contribuled nine kills, two blocks and two aces for the Lions. No details were reported for Carroll.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 3, Marple Newtown 1: Allison Hendrick and Kristen Karlson were strong at the net for the Irish. Hendrick had nine kills and six aces, while Karlson added seven kills and five blocks. Sarah Roberts (16 kills) and Rachel Dennin (19 assists) powered Marple Newtown.
