Sithara, Outland shine for Academy Park

Singles players Lattana Sithara and Vicky Outland set the tone for Academy Park in its 4-1 Del Val League victory over Chester.

Sithara defeated Lasheeda Jones 6-4, 6-1, and Outland earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles against Jamie McDowell. Outland improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Clippers’ Deray Jones was a 6-2, 6-4 winner in the third singles match.

In another Del Val League match:

Chichester 4, Penn Wood 1: Vanessa Klvchenko, Ella Bucalov and Sedia Massaqoui were victorious in singles action for the Eagles. Jimora Alexis and Miller Williams were winners for the Patriots at No. 2 doubles.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 6, Germantown Friends 1: Gracie Leasure won in straight sets in the No. 1 singles match. Meredith Hughes and AnneMarie Crinnion also flourished in singles competition for the Irish.

In the second doubles match, Adrana Bull and Natalie Hughes stormed back after falling down a set to win 3-6, 6-2, 10-3.
