Kutztown opens season with four wins

The Kuttown Area High School boys’ tennis team opened the season with four wins.

On March 17, the Cougars defeated Berks Catholic, 5-2. Winning in singles competition for Kutztown were: Tucker Landis, 6-1, 6-4; Skyler Fussner, 6-0, 6-1; Fred Short, 6-1, 6-1. Also winning for Kutztown was the doubles team of Landis and Kirby Sibiski, 6-0, 6-3.

On March 14, the Cougars topped Conrad Weiser, 4-3. Winning in singles competition for Kutztown were: Nick Volk, 6-3, 6-4; Landis, 2-6, 6-2, 10-8; and Short, 6-3, 1-6, 10-8.

Also winning for Kutztown was the doubles team of Sibiski and Landis, 6-3, 6-1.
