Governor Mifflin falls in Berks semifinals

The Governor Mifflin High School wrestling team qualified for the Berks League playoffs that took place at Wyomissing High School on Jan. 25. The Mustangs defeated Schuylkill Valley, 39-27 in the quarterfinals, but lost to eventual champion Wilson Bulldogs in the semifinals, 32-24.

Earning pins for Exeter in its victory over Schuylkill Valley were: Dylan Harr, (160), 2:54; Ben Maack (170), 0:31; Colby Geisinger (182), 3:29; Jan Johnson (195), 3:17; Keith Miller (285), 2:21.

Winning by decisions for Mifflin were: Dillon James (145), 8-4; Gibriel Toure (220), 10-3; and Zach Sheetz (113), 9-0.

Alex Centeno (106) won by a technical fall, 22-7.
