Head Coach: Dean Sullivan, first season.
Last year’s record: 5-13 PAC-10, 5-14 overall.
Players to watch: Lynsey Quinn, Sr., P/OF; Sarah Heidler, Jr., IF (.300 BA; All-Area Honorable Mention); Karlee Fretz, So., P/C/IF (.436 BAT; All-Area Honorable Mention); Taylor Lindsay, So., P (.390 BA, 5HR, 21 RBI); Alyssa Sullivan, So., 1B/P/3B (.356 BA, nine triples, 41 TB).
Outlook: This season’s Pottsgrove? Don’t be surprised if the Indians make a playoff push this season. Quinn returns after missing six games with an injury last season with Heidler and Fretz returning after earning All-Area Honorable Mention statuses last season. Lindsay returns after hitting five home runs and posting a .390 batting average while Alyssa Sullivan completes a youth movement that saw plenty of playing time last season. Kourtne Buck, Angel Pierson, and Carly Bernhart will be asked to do many things and play many positions. “Things are looking bright for this young team,” Sullivan said. “Having a healthy Quinn along with three sophomores who led the team in batting last year as freshman (is a good thing). Having solid players in Emily Moll, who can play anywhere in the lineup, Sarah Heidler and Olivia Young will make this team very competitive this year. Team captains Chloe Clemente, Laura Frank and Quinn will be needed to keep this young team’s confidence high.”
