Pottsgrove also fell to Neshaminy (58-16) and Strath Haven (54-9) in pool action before salvaging a 31-28 win over Central Bucks South in their placement match.

Battle at Valley Forge

HIGHLIGHTS: Norristown’s showing in the duals tournament at Upper Merion was highlighted by a victory over William Tennent.

A flurry of pins by Doug Cawley, Adam Gonzalez, Samir Miles and Nikosh Marston got the Eagles going, and after Tennent rallied for a 30-24 lead, Eric Whitt scored a fall at 285 to help Norristown regain its winning margin.

In other duals action, Upper Merion fell to Tennent 48-30. The Vikings got pins from Joseph Zapien (285) and Shane Pryor (113) around three forfeits.
