Interboro’s Kerwood does it all in win over Chi

Billie Kerwood had a home run and five RBIs and pitched a complete game with 10 Ks to lead Interboro over Chichester, 11-9.

Kerwood struck out the last two batters in the seventh as Chi left two runners in scoring position.

Steph Oster’s run-scoring single in the sixth put the Bucs (6-4, 5-1 Del Val) ahead to stay. Emily Gavin was 3-for-4 with three runs and Kerwood was 3-for-5 on the day.

Ava Franz was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and three runs for the Eagles.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 13, Germantown Academy 0 >> Karen Xiao pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts, homered and drove in three runs. Other standouts for the Churchwomen (12-2, 4-0) included Emma Tansky and Hailee Moran, both of whom had two knocks. Episcopal is outscoring Inter-Ac teams 31-1 after four games.
