Interboro couldn’t wait to get another chance against Penn Wood.
Last week the Bucs, who for decades have dominated the Del Val League, fell to the Patriots for the first time in school history.
Billie Kerwood’s excellent pitching and hitting ensured the Bucs would not meet a similar fate Thursday.
Kerwood tossed a one-hit gem with 13 strikeouts as Interboro rolled to an 8-0 victory. At the dish, Kerwood slugged a double and a triple and drove in three runs
Madison Keller went 2-for-3 with a double and two ribbies for the Bucs (3-3, 3-1). Hailey Wittorf and Emily Gavin both had two-baggers in the win.
Ameenah Ballenger, who suffered the loss, doubled for Penn Wood’s lone hit.

Chichester 11, Academy Park 1 >> Haley Larabee was excellent from the circle, throwing a two-hitter with six punchouts. She had plenty of offensive support from Riley Power, who was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Maddie Anastasia also roped a two-base hit for the Eagles (3-2).
In the Central League:
Ridley 11, Marple Newtown 1 >> Abby McCoy led the charge for Ridley (3-3), going 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Ashley Shanks added two base knocks and three RBIs, and Anissa Miller smacked a double.
Morgan Chapman was dominant from the circle, striking out nine in five innings of work.
Haverford 15, Strath Haven 1 >> Amber Moscoe and Kerri McCullum each blasted a long ball to help the Fords (6-2, 6-1) take care of business against the Panthers. Addison Joseph added a pair of doubles and two RBIs. Annabelle Donato was the winning pitcher.
Upper Darby 11, Radnor 0 >> Sara Sullivan legged out a pair of triples and Norah Zakrewski was 3-for-3 with a double and reached base four times in the Royals’ drubbing of the Raiders.
Camryn Young added a single and a triple. Rachel Sorrentino had five strikeouts en route to the shutout victory.
Garnet Valley 18, Harriton 1 >> Audrey Shenk had her running shoes on as she tripled three times in the Jags’ thumping of the Rams. Dianne Torregrossa, Lindsey Hunt (2-for-4, three RBIs) and winning pitcher Becca Halford (2-for-3, two RBIs) had three-baggers, as well.
Kayleigh Saboja singled in two runs and Kelly McLaughlin laced an RBI double for GV.
