West Chester Rustin had one of the top offensive lines in the Ches-Mont League last season.
The Valor Bowl selection committee took notice.
Phil Vecchiolli, Christos Moscharis, Sean Weaver and Bobby Dougherty accounted for half of Rustin’s selections to the East roster for the 2015 Valor Bowl Friday night. The Golden Knights had eight players named to the roster, which led Chester County.
The massive offensive line in Westtown helped Terry Loper, the Ches-Mont’s leading rusher, to 2,227 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2014. Matt Hosking also assisted with the blocking for Loper, Steve Franks and Dom Simpkins, was selected to the game at tight end. Hosking will be going to Bloomsburg in the fall.
The Huskies had five area commits this winter, all from the Ches-Mont. Each one will be participating in the Valor Bowl: James McDonald and Tre Green (West Chester Henderson), Doug Strang (Great Valley), Alex Gooden (Octorara) and Hosking.
Great Valley, Henderson, Coatesville and Downingtown East each had seven selections to the Valor Bowl roster. Highlighting the Great Valley class is Nasir Adderley, who has signed with Delaware. Green rushed for 1,581 yards and 19 touchdowns for the Warriors, who had four offensive selections (McDonald, Nick Rizzo, Connor Logan).
Many of Coatesville’s top players will not participate, but the Red Raiders led the West roster with seven selections.

Dan Chisena, a preferred walk-on at Penn State, was one of seven Downingtown East players selected. Keith Conner and Bill McGinley also were top selections from the Cougars.
Tyler McNulty, who threw for 2,385 yards, 21 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2014, leads five Downingtown West selections on the West roster.
Other notable players participating in the game are Oxford’s Ryan Hubley, Octorara’s Alex Gooden, Unionville’s Andrew Jones and Alex Pechin, and West Chester East’s Evan Anderson.
Hubley (a Kutztown commit) set a Ches-Mont record with 90 catches for 1,443 yards and 19 touchdowns in just 10 games.
