The last team to sneak into the District 1 field, No. 28 Garnet Valley’s stay in the tournament will last a little longer. Ashley Bufano made sure of that.

The goalkeeper made four saves in regulation and three straight in the shootout as GV escaped the No. 5 Bears with a 3-1 win in penalty kicks.

Gia Dragoni, who scored for the Jags three minutes into the second half off a feed from Rachel Warden, finished off the shootout win for the Jags. Fellow freshman Julia Burnell and Alex Zecca scored in the shootout for the Jags, who move on to face No. 12 Owen J. Roberts Thursday.

Maria Garofolo scored (Taylor Landis assist) for PAC-10 champion Boyertown, which lost only its second game of the season (16-2-1).
