Girls soccer
Upper Moreland 3, Upper Dublin 2, OT: The Cardinals scored the first two goals of the game, but the Bears rallied with goals from Willow Taylor, Kylie Wiest and Maggie Brophy to pull out the win on Tuesday in SOL play. Wiest also finished with two assists. Alaina Sanders and Erin Seabrook scored for Upper Dublin. Upper Moreland trailed 2-0 through the first 57 minutes but their transition offense then started to click with Taylor and Wiest hooking up for the first two goals. Then in overtime Wiest slotted a ball over to Maggie Brophy for the gamewinner.
“This was a big team win for us on many levels,” UM Head Coach Lisa Benvenuto said. “We will continue to learn and improve as we move through this week.”

Gwynedd Mercy 5, Merion Mercy 0: Sabrina Beniquez scored six minutes into the contest and the rout was on for the Monarchs on Tuesday. Beniquez led the attack with two goals, while Caroline Keira Cassidy, Lauren Drakeley and Courtney Simonds also scored for GMA, which outshot Merion 31-9. Ellie Verrill made two saves in net to record the clean sheet.

Pennsbury 1, Souderton 0: Emma Hunter and Alexis Stefanowicz kept the Indians in the game, but they fell one goal short on Tuesday in SOL play. Offensively, Sienna Stunkard and Ashlee Rose both created excellent scoring chances for Souderton, but couldn’t solve Pennsbury.
“It was a decent performance for us today, but we lacked that final piece needed to put the game away,” said Souderton Head Coach Ian Smith. “Front to back I thought both teams were evenly matched and at times we had control of the game, but in the final third we couldn’t create opportunities we needed to score.”

Plymouth Whitemarsh 2, Lower Moreland 1: Caelin Kosvitch and Kaiane Jayo picked up the goals as the Colonials won the SOL contest on Tuesday. Marleigh Burton and Ella Clark got credited with assists. Caitlyn Dinh was outstanding in net for PW.

Hatboro-Horsham 3, Springfield Twp. 1: Emma Levin tallied two goals as the Hatters rallied for the SOL win on Tuesday. Sarah Boland added a goal and an assist, while Sarah Roesing also picked up an assist for Hatboro-Horsham.

Boys soccer
Wissahickon 4, Cheltenham 0: Jeevan Jouhal collected a hat trick as the Trojans won big on Tuesday in SOL crossover action. Jofi Contreras added the fourth goal. Picking up assists were Michael Om, Ryan Berger, Sam Grossberg and Charlie Stehlik. Eric McEvily and Gavin Malloy combined on the clean sheet in net.

Hatboro-Horsham 1, Springfield Twp. 0: Tony Kuhner delivered the gamewinner from Jacob Kim as the Hatters picked up the win on Tuesday. Noah Schlosser got credit for the clean sheet with five saves, including three big ones in the last minute.

Pennridge 2, Neshaminy 0: Jacob Hess and Ayoob Herzi delivered the offense as the Rams picked up the SOL crossover win on Tuesday. CJ Dimmick provided the clean sheet in net.

Souderton 2, Pennsbury 1: Ty Quintois scored the gamewinner in the 71st minute off a dish from Logan Good on Tuesday for the Indians. Also scoring for Souderton was Brayden Power in the 15th minute of the contest off an assist from Matt Andryushin. Chris McKenna made five saves in net.

Field hockey
Owen J. Roberts 2, Upper Merion 1: Rylie McGrath scored off a feed from Becca Shuler, but the Vikings couldn’t find any offense in the second half. Sierra Milano scored the gamewinner for OJR.

Girls Tennis
Methacton 7, Pope John Paul II 0: The Warriors didn’t drop a set in posting the shutout on Tuesday. Singles players Hana Nouaime, Alice Liang and Lauren Montgomery combined to lose just one game.

Abington 6, Neshaminy 1: The Ghosts swept the doubles matches en route to the SOL crossover win on Tuesday. Jada Young and Jada Coleman set the tone at No. 1 doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Lower Moreland 4, Pennsbury 3: The Lions swept the singles matches en route to the SOL crossover win on Tuesday. Rebecca Kideckel had a scare at No. 2 singles, gutting out a 1-6, 7-6, 6-1 win over Jaclyn Hauben.

Springfield Twp. 6, Martin Saints Classical 1: The Spartans swept the doubles matches on Tuesday and picked up the nonconference win. Arianna Pepe/Marli De Andrade set the tone with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 1 doubles.

Jenkintown 3, Phil-Mont Christian 2: The Drakes swept the doubles matches and Evan McCall picked up a key win at No. 3 singles by a 6-0, 6-2 score on Tuesday in BAL action. Then, the doubles teams only lost a combined one game for Jenkintown.

Golf
Perkiomen Valley 202, Upper Merion 222: Audrey Schuebel and Jack Rodgers shot 43’s but the Vikings dropped the PAC match at Raven’s Claw. Andrew Brendlinger paced PV with a 37.

Quakertown 215, Pennridge 223: Taryn Shine led the Rams for the second straight match with a 42, but it wasn’t enough in a loss to the Panthers on Tuesday. Brock Denlinger shot a 44 and Jeff Seiler followed with a 45 for the Rams.

Girls Volleyball
Pennridge 3, Souderton 2 >> The Rams won a five-set thriller in SOL Continental action by scores of 24-26, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19 and 15-9. Souderton was led by McKenna Murawski with five kills, 11 digs and one ace, while Teya McConaha added 15 kills, two aces and two digs.

Central Bucks West 3, Central Bucks East 2: The Bucks survived in five sets 25-23, 25-18, 14-25, 21-25 and 15-12 in a SOL Continental matchup on Tuesday. Standing out for West were Hollis Walton (8 aces, 4 kills, 3 blocks, and 2 digs), Alexis Barklage (11 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 ace), Mackenzie Lund (7 kills and 2 blocks), Rachel Hu (6 kills, 2 aces, 1 block, and 15 digs), Caroline Taylor (2 aces and 13 digs), Erin Ferello (12 assists and 2 aces), Elisa Kremser (2 kills and 8 assists), Lily Rasnake (2 kills and 2 blocks) and Amber Woodring (8 digs).
