Girls soccer
Souderton 1, CB West 0: Led by senior captains Maggie Fisher and Alexis Stefanowicz, the the Indians defense stood tall during a SOL Colonial win on Friday. Outside backs Abby Kolb, Natalie Rankin and Avery Carroll also stood tall for Souderton. Freshman Ashlee Rose delivered the goal off a nice run from the center of the field.
“If I’m not mistaken this is four first win against a conference opponent in over a year,” Souderton head coach Ian Smith said. “Coming off two tough losses in the first week of the season, it shows the character of this team and we’re looking forward to building on it from here.”

Upper Dublin 2, Methacton 1: Meg McKneel scored both goals for the Cards, the first in the 19th minute and second with 38 seconds left in the game on Friday. Methacton goal came from defende3r Anna Rozinsky on a free kick with nine seconds left in the first half. Upper Dublin goalie Jordyn Levine made five saves, while Methacton keepers Mairi Smith and Riley McDonald combined for eight saves.

Boys soccer
Upper Dublin 4, Methacton 2: Chris McMeel, Zachary Gallagher, Tommy Clayton and Dominick Plaku all delivered the offense as the Cardinals picked up the nonconference win on Friday. Zach Willen had a goal and an assist for the Warriors (2-1). Daniel Gorman also was dominant for the Cards.

Field hockey
Souderton 4, Archbishop Carroll 2: Freshman Ava Jones had a coming out party with a hat trick as the Indians picked up the nonconference win on Friday. Jones broke up a 1-1 tie with her second goal of the game in the third quarter. She added her third in the fourth quarter. Meredith DeMarzio finished with eight saves in net.

Harriton 2 PJP II 1: Cate Mink scored a goal but PJP II came up short in nonconference play on Friday. Gi Manza and Sarah Bell combined for five saves in net for the Golden Panthers.

Jenkintown 2, Bristol 1: Ailish Mangan and Delaney Kutzler provided the offense for the Drakes on Friday in BAL play.

Girls volleyball
Methacton 3, Phoenixville 0: Methacton was led by Mandy Baldwin with 11 kills and 8 aces and Makayla Batten with 11 kills and 2 blocks. This brings Methacton’s overall record to 3-0 and 1-0 in the PAC.

Souderton 3, Cheltenham 0: The Indians swept to the win on Friday by scores of 25-8, 25-5 and 25-4. For Souderton, Alexa Mazzeo led the way with eight aces and six digs. Also standing out for the Indians were McKenna Murawski (11 kills, 1 dig), Grace Boyd (7 assists, 2 aces, 1 dig) and Lauren Vince (5 aces, 2 kills, 1 dig).

CB West 3, Merion Mercy 0: The Bucks swept to the victory on Friday by scores of 25-22, 25-14 and 25-18. Alexis Barklage led the way with 14 kills, two aces and four digs. Also standing out for West were Presley Adams (7 aces, 1 kill, 4 digs), Rachel Hu (3 kills, 1 ace, 13 digs), Caroline Taylor (4 aces, 1 kill, 8 dis), Lily Rasnake (5 kills, 1 block) and Hollis Walton (4 kills, 1 block).
