FIELD HOCKEY

Wissahickon 1, Springfield Montco 0 >> The Trojans controlled the SOL contest on Friday, but couldn’t convert until 3:45 left in the contest when Brynne Miller broke through for the gamewinner off an assist from Sophia Havrilla. Erin Roy was sensational in goal for the Spartans with 17 saves, while Annie Coll (1), Hailey Lesniak (1) and Emily Jackson (2) also made defensive saves. Julianna Thomas made four saves for Wiss in net.

North Penn 11, Truman 0 >> Faith Noll collected a hat trick as the Knights erupted for 11 goals in an SOL crossover win on Friday. Maddie Waldspurger, Riley O’Donnell and Ella Sanfelice also added two goals for North Penn (10-3), which outshot Truman 27-0.

Archbishop Carroll 9, Lansdale Catholic 1 >> Carroll honored its seniors with the 9-1 win on Friday in PCL action. Bella Phillip, Megan Sheridan and Grace O’Neill each had two goals for the Patriots (9-3, 6-0). Abby Zakowski scored for the Crusaders.

BOYS SOCCER

Souderton 3, Bensalem 0 >> Nolan Hughes scored two goals for the Indians on Friday in SOL crossover action. Dillon Barbieri also scored for Souderton, while Aidan McClure made three saves in net.

Springfield Montco 3, Wissahickon 0 >> Grant Williams scored a goal and added an assist as the Spartans stopped the Trojans Friday in SOL action. Riley Martin and Peter Schmidt also scored for Springfield.
Girls soccer

Plymouth Whitemarsh 2, Lower Moreland 1 >> Caelin Kosvitch scored both goals as the Colonials held on for the win on Friday. Soph goalie Caitlyn Dinh made several highlight-reel saves in the second half. The backline of Libby Daddonna, Brianna Reynolds, Kate Lukens and returning from injury Gabby Lifshutz did a solid job handling two ultra-physical Lower Moreland forwards.

Abington 7, Upper Moreland 1 >> Kyra Favors put the Golden Bears up 1-0 on Friday, but it was all Abington from there. Mei Mei Cheng picked up a hat trick as the Ghosts won big in an SOL crossover contest on Friday. Also scoring for Abington were Carley Slavin, Maddie Egan, Lily Gray and Marissa Hellyer.

Bensalem 1, Souderton 0 >> Despite controlling action at times, the Indians fell short on Friday in an SOL crossover game on Friday. Nicole Shulingkamp had the Indians’ best chance, but was denied by the far post.

Wissahickon 4, New Hope-Solebury 1 >> Kylie Friedman, Natalie Ryan, Margaret Wilde and Emma Baker scored for the Trojans in the SOL crossover win on Wednesday.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Hatboro-Horsham 3, Council rOCK South 0 >> Hatboro-Horsham swept to the win on Friday by scores of 26-24, 25-15 and 25-11 on Friday. Senior outside hitter Nastya Tstesko led the offense with 15 kills, while junior middle hitter Jade Lauzier, junior outside hitter Kayla Jones and senior middle hitter Izzy Bombas had eight, seven and six kills, respectively.

The Hatters (10-2, 6-1) also had seven blocks, including three by Lauzier and two apiece from Bombas and Jones. The offense was coordinated by senior setter Grace Howard with 33 aces, seven digs and one ace. The defense was led by senior libero Maci Lumpkin with five digs and one ace.

Perkiomen Valley 3, Upper Merion 0 >> The Vikings dropped the PAC match by scores of 25-19, 27-25 and 25-14. Vanessa Hutchingson was everywhere for UM as she recorded 38 digs. Sophia Schweikert had 17 kills and 15 digs, while Julia Giammarco contributed eight kills and 14 digs.

Methacton 3, Phoenixville 0 >> The Warriors won on Senior Night by scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-7 on Friday night. Methacton (8-9 5-4) was led by Mel Eglinton with 11 kills, Claire Ferrance with five kills and Meg Haftl with 20 assists and seven aces.
