Zebley’s late goal leads Garnet Valley to win

Mia Zebley scored the go-ahead goal with 10 minutes to play in regulation as Garnet Valley held on for a 2-1 victory over Lower Merion in Central League girls soccer action Tuesday.

Kathryn Toohey got the Jaguars first goal off a pass from Alyssa Wert. Kayleigh Saboja (five saves) and Lauren Dorf (two saves) shared the goalkeeping duties.

Radnor 3, Springfield 1 >> Sophia Hubbard snapped a 1-1 deadlock in the second half, and Jane Daiutolo added an insurance tally for the Raiders. Olivia Kelley also found the back of the net for Radnor.

Caroline Walters accounted for the Cougars’ goal.

Marple Newtown 7, Upper Darby 2 >> Asenka Christokumar scored two goals to pace the Tigers over the Royals.

Strath Haven 3, Penncrest 2 >> The Panthers did all of their damage in the second half, scoring thrice to erase a 1-0 deficit at intermission.

Ellie Malek, Maggie Forbes and Gianna Zweier found the back of the net nine minutes apart. Claire Wolgast recorded four saves in net for Haven.

Abigail Consadene and Taryn Tagtmeir scored for Penncrest.

In the Catholic League:

Archbishop Carroll 2, St. Hubert 1 >> Emma Talago had both goals for the Patriots, who received a solid goalkeeping by Nicollette Cashin (12 saves).

In the Inter-Ac League:

Baldwin 2, Episcopal Academy 1 >> Baldwin’s Clare Page scored the winner with one second to go in overtime.

Lauren Cunningham scored for the Churchwomen (2-4), and Allie Bush (two saves) and Maya Naimoli (three saves) played well in net.

Penn Charter 5, Agnes Irwin 1 >> Alyssa Hardin had the lone goal for the Owls. Amelia Leyden made 12 saves between the pipes.

In the Del Val League:

Interboro 7, Academy Park 0 >> Peyton Glove and Alex Mullen each registered two goals and and an assist for the Bucs (6-3), who led 5-0 at halftime. Becca Roberts added a goal and a helper and goalie Angelina McLaughlin finished with six saves.
