Mercury Girls Soccer Roundup: Spring-Ford’s Mulle scores late to beat PV, keep Rams unbeaten in PAc

Spring-Ford 1, Perkiomen Valley 0 >> Kaitlyn Mulle played the hero with a shot from 20 yards with 1:33 to play to give the Rams a tight PAC Liberty victory over the Vikings Monday.

Goalie Riley Hill (11 saves) and the Vikings defense kept Spring-Ford off the scoreboard for 78 minutes despite being S-F leading decisively in shots (18-4) and corners (8-1). Spring-Ford goalie Riley Wallace had three saves in the shutout.

Spring-Ford improves to 5-0 PAC Liberty, 7-0 PAC and 10-1 overall. PV is 4-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the division.

Boyertown 6, Norristown 0 >> The Bears got goals from Aimee Toscano, Madison Monka, Samantha Goffice, Samantha Devlin (2) and Fiona Hovey in a PAC Liberty win over the Eagles Monday.

Goffice, Kayley Mattis, Lauren Moccia (2) and Audrey Swartley had assists. Norristown keeper Aaliyah Walk-Benitez had 15 saves.

Pottsgrove 5, Phoenixville 1 >> Skylar Glass paced the Falcons with two goals in the PAC Frontier win Monday.

Lexi Zook, Becca Delp and Lana Song also scored for Pottsgrove, while Emily Vishio and Regina Greco picked up assists. Summer Walker had three saves and Allison Dixon added another.

Ava Labik scored Phoenixville’s goal off an assist from Alex Perrotto. Ella Stout made nine saves.

Methacton 3, Owen J. Roberts 2 >> The Warriors scored three first-half goals in Monday’s PAC Liberty win.

Madia Mazzucola scored in the third minute before assisting on Kate Evans’ goal later in the half. Julia McCann scored Methacton’s third goal off an assist from Evans.

Methacton freshman goalkeeper Mairi Smith had 10 saves.

Upper Perkiomen 4, Pottstown 0 >> Upper Perk tallied twice in each half for the PAC Frontier win.

Sammie Kozminski, Kyra Lesko, Avery Diehl and Mary Kate Sitko each tallied goals, while Hannah Keeney and Emily Schaut registered two assists each.

Hannah Landis and Giana Deskevich combined for the shutout in goal, the team’s fifth straight, improving their record to 9-3-0.

Perkiomen School 6, Delaware Valley Friends 0 >> Rianne Moll had three goals and an assist to carry Perkiomen at DVF Monday. Cece Vassallo had a goal and two assists for the winners while Sophia Kerouac and Bella Baringer also scored.
