Five Main Line boys’ soccer squads in SE Pa. coaches top 20 poll

Five Main Line schools – Conestoga, Haverford School, Malvern Prep, Episcopal Academy and Shipley – are among the top 20 high school boys’ soccer teams as ranked in the Nov. 9 Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association Poll.

The top 20 boys teams ranked are as follows, in descending order (won-loss record included): Central Bucks East, first place, 21-0); Conestoga (second, 17-1-1); Roman Catholic (third, 16-2-2); Father Judge (fourth, 18-1); West Chester Henderson (fifth, 16-4); Springfield Delco (sixth, 16-4-2); Haverford School (seventh, 14-3-2); Malvern Prep (eighth, 12-3-2); Pennsbury (ninth, 14-5-2); Abington (10th, 16-5); North Penn (11th, 14-4-2); Northeast (12th, 13-1-1); Boyertown (13th, 14-4-2); Owen J Roberts (14th, 16-5-1); Downingtown West (15th, 14-5-2); Council Rock North (16th, 13-5-2); Episcopal Academy (17th, 13-5-4); Upper Dublin (18th, 15-5); La Salle (19th, 12-4-1); and Shipley (20th, 16-4-1 ).

The top 10 girls teams ranked are as follows, in descending order: Central Bucks East (first, 21-0-1); Downingtown West (second, 15-4); Council Rock North (third, 12-5-3); Archbishop Ryan (fourth, 19-1-1); Spring Ford (fifth, 18-4-2); Central Bucks South (sixth, 13-5-2); West Chester Henderson (seventh, 16-5); Pennsbury (eighth, 15-3); Owen J Roberts (ninth, 15-6); and Villa Joe Marie (10th, 12-4).
