Recap

Although there’s still plenty of time left in the season, an early meeting between two undefeated teams looking to take the top spot in the division can provide plenty of intensity.

On Tuesday evening, Morgan Rynn provided the spark to Upper Perkiomen’s 8-7 win over Pope John Paul II to move atop the PAC-10’s Frontier Division.

Rynn, who had scored her 100th career goal on Saturday, added four more scores and an assist in the win Tuesday while Mackenzie Gebhardt netted a hat trick in the win. Hope Flack added a goal and Regan McComb finished with 10 saves as UP held a 6-3 advantage at the break. Upper Perkiomen limited Monica Rapchinski  – who had scored 10 goals in each of PJP’s first three games – to just one goal in the win.

Abby McMenamin paced PJP with three goals and an assist while Kylie Cherneski scored twice. Lauren Bello scored once while Charlotte Williamson finished with eight saves.
