Riley Basht finished off a Lana Buerklin feed in overtime to lead Sun Valley to a 9-8 win over Oxford in Ches-Mont girls lacrosse action Thursday.
The goal was the second for Basht. Lainey Chestnut led the way with two goals and three assists. Alena Catka and Riley Purfield scored twice each, Catka adding 10 draw controls, and Tori Burgos made 12 saves.
In the Central League:
Garnet Valley 20, Penncrest 8 >> Sophie Kingsborough scored five times, including the 100th goal of her career, to lead the Jaguars to a romp.
Kate Stankavage scored five times, dished two assists and controlled 12 draws. Mia Raucci scored four times. Mia Zebley added a hat trick.
Strath Haven 7, Ridley 5 >> Julia Steere scored five goals to guide the Panthers in a tight affair. Kaitlin Nieczpiel scored twice for Haven.
Ridley got 12 saves in goal from Grace DeCarolis. Krista Geibler scored twice, and Emily Liberio paired a goal with an assist.
Harriton 21, Marple Newtown 11 >> Lizzie Getz scored four times, and Olivia DiValerio added two goals and two assists for the Tigers.
In the Inter-Ac League:
Agnes Irwin 18, Germantown Academy 6 >> Marissa White potted five goals, and Quinn Wollard, Sydney Wilson and Alex Lesko scored twice each as the Owls scored 13 times in the first half.
In the Del Val League:
Interboro 12, Academy Park 7 >> Bri Maddonni scored four goals, and Makena Harley stopped seven shots for the Bucs.
In the Catholic League:
Bonner-Prendergast 19, Archbishop Ryan 7 >> Abigail Blemings fired home eight goals to go with an assist for the Pandas. Leila George lit the lamp six times, and Katie Standen and Melanie Standen added two goals apiece.
Boys Lacrosse
Nickolas McKendry scored a hat trick as Haverford outlasted Lower Merion, 10-7.
The Fords trailed 6-3 at the half before orchestrating the comeback. Quinn Carson, Jack McGarvey and Eric Reisenwitz scored twice each.

Marple Newtown 13, Harriton 4 >> Charlie Box paired five goals with three assists in another dominant performance as the Tigers led 9-1 at the half. Joey Yuknevitch registered four goals, and Brian Box added two goals and two helpers.

Garnet Valley 24, Penncrest 12 >> The Jaguars heeded an early wakeup call, answering a first-quarter deficit with 12 second-quarter goals on the way to a romp.
Max Busenkell powered home five goals and four assists. Joey Halloran and Ryan Nealon each tallied hat tricks, and Luke Mingioni scored five times. Sam DiTrolio powered the attack by going 26-for-32 on draws.
Dylan McDougall led Penncrest with five goals. Jason Pool scored four times.
In the Catholic League:
Bonner-Prendergast 8, Cardinal O’Hara 7 >> Dillon DiBattista had a hand in all seven O’Hara tallies with four goals and three assists. Matt Donahue added a hat trick for the Lions.
