Wissahickon 17, Quakertown 4 >> Abby DeGroat finished with six goals, five draw controls and a pair of ground balls as Wissahickon claimed the outright Suburban One League American Conference championship with a win over host Quakertown Monday.
Emma Baker recorded five goals, three assists, three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Trojans, who led 11-2 at halftime. Wissahickon’s last SOL title came in 2015 when it earned the outright American crown.
Quinn Gaffney added a goal, five assists and three caused turnovers for the Trojans (15-0, 10-0 division) while Lexi Hobson had two goals, an assist, four draw controls, four caused turnovers and three ground balls. Sophia Chiodo Ortiz posted a goal and two ground balls with goalkeeper Madeline Murphy making five saves.
Upper Dublin 16, William Tennent 3 >> Jenn McCarry scored her 100th career goal on her third tally of the SOL American contest, the UMass Lowell commit collecting four goals and an assist as Upper Dublin cruised to a second straight win.
Tess Reardon had three goals and an assist, Aditi Foster finished with two goals and two assists while Kelly Senior had two goals and assist for the Cardinals (8-7, 7-2 division).
UD’s Allie Rock and Ella Lyon each had a goal and an assist while Maisie Hanson, Ellie Eby and Lauren Dartley all scored a goal.
Archbishop Carroll 12, Springfield-Delco 3 >> Emma Talego had three goals, an assists and three ground balls as Archbishop Carroll scored the last four goals of the first half for a 6-2 halftime lead then pulled away for the nonleague win.
Kiley Mottice registered two goals and two assists while Keri Barnett added two goals, an assist, three caused turnovers, two draw controls and two ground balls for the Patriots (13-4, 9-0 PCL). Julia Basciano also scored twice with Nicole Pawelec dishing out four assists.
Machaela Henry, Brooke Wilson and Sarah Durham each had a goal with Henry also collecting five draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Carroll goalie Sophie Kevtan made five saves while Springfield keeper Rachel Conran had 11 saves.
Pennridge 15, Abington 7 >> Tom Hart scored six goals and handed out three assists as Abington used a strong second quarter to earn an SOL nonconference victory and snap a three-game skid.
Chris Fanelli had five goals for the Rams (8-8, 5-5 SOL National), who outscored the Galloping Ghosts 6-1 in the second quarter to hold a 9-4 lead at halftime.
Jake Stranix added a goal and an assist with Jack Lenox, Tyler Richardson and Nate McMahon all scoring a goal. Matt Fleisch, Ryan Carickhoff and Luke Lenox each had an assist. Pennridge goalie Sean Gereaghty made seven saves.
