Boys Lacrosse

Pennridge 10, North Penn 7 >> A strong fourth quarter sent Pennridge to its fourth straight victory Thursday, the host Rams outscoring North Penn 5-1 in the final period to take the Suburban One League National Conference matchup.

Chris Fanelli had three goals and two assists for Pennridge (6-4, 4-2) while Ryan Carickhoff collected three goals and an assist. Jack Lenox recorded a goal and two assists, Tom Hart scored twice and Jake Stranix chipped in a goal and an assist for the Rams.

Dakari Luby scored a game-high five goals and also had an assist for North Penn (6-5, 3-3), which led 5-1 at halftime and 6-5 at the end of the third quarter. Lars Homan and Declan Lanier both had two assists, Caleb Moister and Jake Dolan each scored a goal while Dan Sloan added an assist.

North Penn goalie Matt Kuhn made 17 saves while Pennridge keeper Kieran Banks had 12 saves.

Wissahickon 20, New Hope-Solebury 4 >> Jackson Intrieri’s 13-point day powered Wissahickon to its second straight win, the Ursinus commit scoring seven goals and handed out six assists as the Trojans cruised past New Hope-Solebury in their SOL American contest.

Kyle Lehman finished with four goals and four assists while Sam Baker and Dean Wolfe each had two goals and an assist for Wissahickon (6-3, 4-0), which led 13-2 at halftime. The Trojans have scored 20 goals in three of their last four games.

Matt Fritz, an Ohio State commit, and Brody Meyers both had a goal and an assist. Jimmy Mallott, Gavin Meyers and Matthew Slovin all added a goal while Charlie Stehlik and Blake Zimmerman each had an assist.

The loss dropped New Hope-Solebury to 2-7 (1-5 conference).

Pope John Paul II 8, Pottsgrove 7 >>  Connor Gucwa finished with three goals and an assist while goalie Sean Fallon made 11 saves  as Pope John Paul II edged Pottsgrove

Luke Sykes had a goal, two assists and three ground balls, while Cole Miller and Ambrose Collilouri each collected a goal, an assist and two ground balls for the Golden Panthers.

Justin Westcoat scored a game-high four goals for Pottsgrove with Rylee Howard adding three goals. Falcons goalie Dom Sithens had 14 saves while Max Neeson and Shane Caffrey claimed eight and four ground balls, respectively.

PJP II got a goal each from Shane Flynn and Eric Zadroga. Justin Kormos collected four ground balls with Chris Bruder and Kameryn Herpich-Hershaw both getting three ground balls.

Girls Lacrosse

Wissahickon 17, Hatboro-Horsham 2 >> Emma Baker scored five goals and also had an assist, Nora Ryan finished with two goals and five assists and Wissahickon earned an SOL American win to remain undefeated.

Abby DeGroat finished with four goals, an assist, seven draw controls and three ground balls for the Trojans (9-0, 4-0 conference) while Lexi Hobson had three goals, two assists, four caused turnovers, three draw controls and two ground balls. Baker added four draw controls and two ground balls and Ryan had a draw control and a ground ball.

Abby Roesing and Sophia Liott each had a goal for Hatboro-Horsham (0-2, 0-2) with Lydia Nolan getting an assist. Hatters goalie Emma O’Reilly had four saves.

Also for Wissahickon, Sophia Chiodo Ortiz had a goal, an assist and two ground balls, Quinn Gaffney recorded a goal, an assist, four caused turnovers and a ground ball.  Goalie Madeline Murphy made five saves and also had a ground ball. Amanda Brecher had three caused turnovers and Laura Kane added one caused turnover.

Archbishop Carroll 18, Archbishop Ryan 1 >> Archbishop Carroll had 18 different players scored a goal in cruising to a Philadelphia Catholic League victory.

Kiley Mottice collected seven assists and a goal while Karli Dougherty registered a goal, two assists, two draw controls and two ground balls for the Patriots (8-1, 8-0 league), who led 12-0 at halftime.

Shannon Wood added a goal and two assists with Sienna Golden, Machaela Henry and Keri Barnett each having a goal and three draw controls. Mary Matey chipped in a goal, two draw controls and two ground balls while Katie Karoly had a goal and two ground balls. Carroll goalie Bridget Robinson made one save.

Luca Verello scored for Archbishop Ryan while goalie Emily Bartol had six saves.
