DLN Lacrosse Roundup: Conestoga girls lax remains unbeaten, Shanahan beats Oxford

Conestoga 8, Archbishop Carroll 7 >> Monica Borzillo scored three times and added an assist to help the Pioneers slip past Archbishop Carroll in non-league action to remain unbeaten on the year. Sondra Dickey added two goals and Liz Scott had a goal and assist.

Bishop Shanahan 21, Oxford 0 >> Kaela Smith and Abby Bailey each had three goals as the Eagles (11-4) defeated the Hornets (0-12) for their 11th win in a row.
Grace Dolan had a goal and five assists in the win while Erin O’Donnell had two goals and two assists.
Jess Gorr earned the shutout in goal.

Downingtown East 18, Council Rock North 4 >> Tori Barretta led the Cougars (12-3) with six goals in a nonleague win over Council Rock North.
Barretta leads the area with 86 goals this season.
Emily Wurzel has three goals for East. Elise Person, Hannah Wurzel and Kira Flynn finished with two.
Emily Robinson had five saves.

Villa Maria 17, Villa Joseph Marie 7  >> Lauren Dunn led the Hurricanes (10-5) with four goals in a AACA win over Villa Joseph Marie.
Brianne Bamber had three goals and two assists in the win. Annina Iacobucci and Audrey Fantazzia ecah finished with three goals.

Westtown 11, Abington Friends 8 >> Sarah Cassway scored four goals and teammates Cate Cappucco and Emily Dodds each added three goals to give the Quakers the victory. Westtown, who had a 6-3 edge in the second half, improves to 2-9 overall.

Boys Lacrosse
Great Valley 9, Plymouth Whitemarsh 7 >> Ryan Vogel went 13-of-19 on faceoffs as the Patriots (9-7) defeated Plymouth Whitemarsh (11-5) in a nonleague game.
Ethan Joseph led Great Valley with three goals. Dylan Tashjian, Scott Wagner and Alex Kramer each had two goals.
Scott McAneney had 10 saves in goal and Owen Banativch finished with two assists.
