Newsome nets game-winner, caps AP’s comeback

Zyah Newsome netted the game-winning goal with just over four minutes remaining in regulation Monday, completing Academy Park’s 9-8 come-from-behind victory over Collegium Charter in nonleague girls lacrosse.
Dakota Street paced the Knights (2-2) with four goals, Chantal Farmer scored twice and Terae Mason stopped six shots to allow Academy Park to erase a three-goal halftime deficit.
In another nonleague clash:
Ridley 17, Kennett 11 >> Emily Johnston and Brooke Nasella mirrored each other with identical five-goal, one-assist performances, while Desi George notched a hat trick and set up a pair of scores for the Green Raiders.
Hanna Crowley added two goals and played phenomenal defense in front of goalie Lauren O’Brien (six saves).
