Reporter/Times Herald Girls Basketball Roundup: Finnan’s 15 points help CB West edge North Penn

Central Bucks West 40, North Penn 38 >> Tied after three quarters, visiting Central Bucks West outscored North Pen 11-9 in the fourth to claim the win in a tight SOL Colonial contest Friday night.

Katie Finnan knocked down four 3-pointers in scoring a game-best 15 points for the Bucks (4-2, 3-2 division), which won their second straight. Emily Spratt added 10 points.

Caleigh Sperling collected eight of her team-high 10 points in the first half for the Knights (0-4, 0-4) while Olivia Stone scored five of her eight points in the fourth.

Hatboro-Horsham 49, Wissahickon 39 >> Alice Hall registered a game-high 20 points as Hatboro-Horsham earned its first SOL Liberty Division victory.

Emily Thomas scored 11 points for the Hatters (3-3, 1-3), who have won two straight and three of their last four. HH led 22-16 at halftime, was still up six at the end of the third then outscored Wissahickon 15-11 in the fourth.

Lily Hyatt had a team-high 11 points while Julie Warner chipped in nine points for the Trojans (1-6, 0-4).

Souderton 44, Central Bucks South 28 >> Jordan Zimmerman and Erin Bohmueller both scored a game-high 10 points and Souderton took control in the third quarter to end a two-game skid.

Casey Harter collected nine points for the Indians (4-3, 4-2 SOL Colonial), who led 20-16 at halftime then outscored CB South 12-2 over the next eight minutes go up 14.

Taylor Hinkle had nine points to pace the Titans (3-3, 3-3 SOL Colonial), who had their two-game win streak stopped.

Upper Moreland 51, Lowe Moreland 26 >> Holly Grohl had a game-high 16 points as Upper Moreland used a strong first half in the SOL Freedom matchup to claim its third win in a row

Kiera Coyle collected eight of her 10 points in the second quarter, which ended with the Golden Bears (5-1, 4-0 division) up 29-12. Emmy Faith Wood added eight points for UM.

Jess Dugo led Lower Moreland (1-2, 1-2) with nine points while Tori Finnegan finished with eight points.

Plymouth Whitemarsh 73, Quakertown 8 >> Anna McTamney and Ally Zolty each scored 12 points as Plymouth Whitemarsh cruised to a win on its Senior Night.

Abby Sharpe added nine points for the Colonials (3-0, 3-0 SOL Liberty).

Central Bucks East 44, Pennridge 29 >> CB East kept its record perfect by shutting down host Pennridge in their SOL Colonial contest.

Anna Croyle scored 15 points for the Rams (1-5, 0-5). The Patriots (6-0, 6-0) led 21-11 at halftime and extended their advantage to 34-21 entering the fourth.
