Reporter/Times Herald Girls Basketball Roundup (Dec. 17): Plymouth Whitemarsh, Germantown Academy cruise to victories

Plymouth Whitemarsh 56, Hatboro-Horsham 15 >> Lainey Allen led all scorers with 15 points, scoring 10 in the first quarter as Plymouth Whitemarsh jumped out to a 20-2 lead as the Colonials cruised to a SOL Liberty Division win.

Allen also collected eight rebounds, four steals and a block for PW (2-0, 2-0 division) while Erin Daley collected nine points, five steals and four rebounds. Abby Sharpe added nine points, three steals and two rebounds.

Hatboro-Horsham dropped to 1-1 (1-1).

Germantown Academy 80, Peddie School (N.J.) 33 >> Germantown Academy had five players score in double figures – Kendall Bennett leading the way with 14 points – as the Patriots routed visiting Peddie School to end a two-game losing streak at the  Jim Fenerty Make-A-Wish Tournament.

CeeJay Thomas collected 13 points, Josie Munson and Isabella Casey each had 12 points while Sam Wade added 10 points for GA (3-3, 0-1 Inter-Ac), which led 25-6 after a quarter. Jessica Aponik had five points and seven assists while Jess Kolecki chipped in two points and three steals.

Central Bucks East 30, Souderton 27 >> Elise Duffy scored a game-high 13 points as host Central Bucks East took a 27-23 lead into the fourth quarter and held on for an SOL Colonial Division win.

Casey Harter had 12 points to pace Souderton (3-2, 1-1 division), which had its three-game win streak snapped. East improved to 2-2 (1-1).

Manasquan (N.J.) 45, Archbishop Carroll 37 >> Manasquan bested Archbishop Carroll 14-9 in the fourth to pull away and win their Super Games at the Shore matchup in Holmdel High School.

Grace O’Neill scored 13 points to lead the Carroll (2-2). Brooke Wilson had 11 points and five rebounds for the Patriots while Taylor Wilson finished with 11 points.

Manasquan’s Dorothy Loffredo had 11 points.

Jenkintown 53, Delco Christian 22 >> Jenkintown rolled to a BAL victory as the Drakes improved to 4-0.
