Redd, Andrews ensure another Penn Wood win

All-Delco Dahnye Redd scored six of her 16 points in the fourth quarter to help Penn Wood clinch a 42-34 nonleague win at Souderton.

Carle Andrews converted a pair of key free throws down the stretch and Joy Morton added 12 points for the Patriots (10-5). Redd also snared 13 rebounds for a double-double.

In another nonleague game:

Agnes Irwin 39, Hill School 31 >> Alex Blomstrom dropped in a game-high 17 points for the Owls, who overcame a seven-point halftime deficit by outscoring the hosts, 27-12, in the final two quarters.

In the Central League

Springfield 58, Marple Newtown 37 >> Madison D’Ambrosio scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds, and Belle Mastropietro chipped in 11 points for the Cougars, who led at halftime, 29-12, and never looked back. Jordan D’Ambrosio had nine points and Maggie O’Connell added eight points and five assists.

Erin Houghton, Julia Lynch and Natalie Ayoub paced the Tigers with eight points each.

Haverford 48, Upper Darby 34 >> Mollie Reynolds poured in 17 points and Brianna Blair scored 12 to help the Fords escape with a hard-fought win.

Kaliesha Stevens netted a game-high 18 points for the Royals.

Garnet Valley 62, Lower Merion 42 >> Emily McAteer (13 points), Maddie Ireland (12 points, five assists) and Sydney Fail (10 points, six rebounds) powered the Jaguars (14-2, 10-1) to another convincing win. Brianne Borcky (nine points) was a force in the low post with seven boards and six blocked shots.

Strath Haven 39, Penncrest 23 >> Katie Fisher (19 points) and Rachel Vresilovic (16) showed the way for the Panthers, who held the visiting Lions to nine second-half points.

Conestoga 48, Ridley 33 >> The Green Raiders (7-9, 4-7) pulled within seven points in the fourth quarter, but struggled to convert from the field. Izzy Hamlin had a team-high 10 points.

Ridley had no answer for Ellie Mack, who led all players with 24 points.

Harriton 42, Radnor 32 >> Allison Lanzone (10 points) was the lone Raider to reach double digits in scoring.

In the Catholic League:

Archbishop Carroll 44, Little Flower 15 >> The visiting Patriots held Little Flower scoreless in the first half. Molly Masciantonio topped a balanced scoring attack with nine points and Bella Sorrentino had eight.

Archbishop Wood 73, Bonner-Prendergast 34 >> Caroline Manfre had seven points and five steals in the loss for the Pandas (12-5).
