Lannon lights up scoreboard in Sun Valley win

It was the Kate Lannon show Monday as Sun Valley claimed a 46-32 nonleague victory over Pottstown.

Lannon, a junior guard/forward, scored 26 points to lead the Vanguards (3-2) while Claire Howley chipped in eight points, four steals and four assists.

In other nonleague action:

Sacred Heart 39, Barrack Hebrew 22 >> The freshman one-two punch of Sami Smith and Jaycee Webster powered the Lions (1-4) to their first triumph of 2015-16. Webster netted 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and made five steals, while Smith added six points, nine rebounds and three steals. Eileen Piombino tossed in nine points for Sacred Heart.

Upper Moreland 35, Chichester 31 >> The Eagles (1-2) battled back to cut the deficit to two points with a minute to go, but their struggles at the free-throw line (7-of-18) cost them in the long run.

Lauren Carrafa poured in a game-high 20 points in the losing effort. Erica Brant added eight points for Chi.

Conestoga 51, Interboro 23 >> The Bucs had no answer for 6-2 senior forward Ellie Mack. The Bucknell signee netted 10 of her game-high 14 points in the second quarter on 7-of-9 shooting from the field.

The Pioneers led, 13-0, in the first quarter and held a 32-11 advantage at halftime. Gina McNamee paced the Bucs with nine points and Amy Huddell contributed seven points, seven rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot in the loss.
