Baldwin School’s Danielle Hammond signs NLI with Virginia Commonwealth

Baldwin School senior Danielle Hammond signed her National Letter of Intent Nov. 11 to play basketball at NCAA I Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. The VCU Rams are members of the Atlantic 10 Conference and compete annually against Philadelphia-area schools St. Joseph’s University and La Salle University.

The Baldwin Athletic Department hosted a signing day ceremony for Hammond and her family after school, which was heavily attended by students, faculty and staff. Hammond is a four-year varsity starter and center for the Polar Bears. She was a first team All-Inter-Ac League and All-Main Line selection in 2015. She is co-captain for the upcoming 2015-16 Baldwin basketball season.
