Sun Valley got off to a promising start in Friday night’s Ches-Mont League game with Kennett.
Noah Griffin’s 74-yard touchdown gave the Vanguards the first points of the game, but the visiting Blue Demons seized control and cruised to a 35-12 victory.
The loss was Sun Valley’s sixth in a row.
Trailing 21-6 in the third quarter, Todd Harper broke off a big run to the Kennett 7-yard line. On the next play Griffin sprinted seven yards to the end zone for his second TD.
Kennett (8-2) scored the game’s final two touchdowns.
Sun Valley closes out its regular season at Bayard Rustin next Friday.
