Upper Darby’s senior class led the way on their special night.
Seniors Alison Ascareggi, Violet Lange, Rylee Shanahan and Tara Gilligan put on a show in the Royals’ 3-2 nonleague decision over Shipley. The set scores were 25-11, 18-25, 24-26, 25-18, 15-11.
Ascareggi collected 10 kills, 10 aces and six digs. Lange pitched in with 12 kills and 13 digs, while Shanahan was a force on defense with 24 digs. Gilligan dished out 13 assists.
In other nonleague action:
Radnor 3, Interboro 2 >> The Raiders won a five-set thriller over the host Bucs by scores of 25-16, 26-24, 22-25, 14-25, 15-7. It was Radnor’s second win of the season.
Leading the way for the Raiders were hitters Sam Worontzoff (14 kills, three aces) and Lucy Criscuolo (13 kills, two aces), who nailed the match winner. Josie Darrach supplied 24 assists and had six kills, while Emme Healy handed out seven assists.
Defensively, the Raiders received solid performances from Grace Remphrey (14 digs), Emma Kirsch (12 digs) and Jordan Dell (10 digs).
In the Catholic League:
Cardinal O’Hara 3, Neumann-Goretti 0 >> Bridget McGuinn posted two kills and four aces as the Lions (20-1, 10-0 Catholic League) cruised past the Saints 25-13, 25-8, 25-9.
Julianna Cloran added six assists and five aces, while Olivia Reilly chipped in with a pair of kills.
Bonner & Prendergast 3, Bishop McDevitt 1 >> Lindsey Fagan finished with six kills, nine assists and eight digs as the Pandas (7-8, 5-5).
Sydni Floyd dominated at the front of the net with 16 blocks, Abby Lance excelled defensively with 20 digs, and Sam Lachette helped power the offense with eight kills. Omotayo Ogunbiyi pitched in with three aces, five kills and nine blocks.
In the Inter-Ac League:
Notre Dame 3, Agnes Irwin 1 >> Sara McDougall and Gracie Guerin combined for 13 kills, and Ciara Hibbs and Grace Clark totaled 31 digs to help the Irish (10-3, 4-1) to the 24-26, 25-12, 25-18, 25-16 win.
