At Kutztown, Logan Simmon rushed nine times for 111 first-quarter yards, including three touchdowns, and Upper Perkiomen went on to defeat Kutztown 57-6.
Trey Robinson had a second-quarter touchdown plunge of one yard and later added another with a 4-yard drive.
Kutztown (0-2) scored on a 2-yard run by Lucas Floyd. It was set-up by a 63-yard kickoff return by Lennon Neiman.
Simmon had three touchdown runs of more than 60 yards in last week’s opener for Upper Perk (1-1). He finished that game against Boyertown with 262 rushing yards.
Against Kutztown he totaled 158 yards on 11 carries, the last coming in the second quarter. His touchdowns were from 13 yards out and twice from three yards. He also had a 32-yard pass reception and an interception.
Floyd was Kutztown’s leading rusher with 61 yards. He was 3-for-9 passing, including a 38-yard completion to Tristan Stoess.
Upper Perkiomen’s Hunter Flack had four completions on seven attempts, including a 6-yard touchdown pass to Malachi Duka.
