After a tieless 29+ minutes of the first half Conestoga drew first blood when Senior Captain Casey Allen scored on a Penalty shot.  shot.

Charlotte DeVries scored Conestoga’s second goal 5 min into second period off a great pass from Kelly Baker.

Shanahan then scored 3 unanswered goals in less than 90 seconds to take the lead 3-2 at the 20 minute mark of the second half.

Conestoga tied the game 3-3 off a nice corner play just minutes later. Casey Allen fielded the insertion and hit a crisp pass to Grace McEvoy who stopped the ball, turned and hit a well placed shot past the Shanahan goaltender.

Conestoga’s corner game produced another goal to take back the lead 3 minutes later on a hard shot off the insertion from Charlotte DeVries.

But Shanahan was not done. They tied the game just minutes later with good team offensive and an open net goal.

With less than 2 minutes left Kiley Allen took the ball in her offensive zone dribbled into the circle and with what looked like her last bit of energy flung the ball at the goal. It bounced past the Shanahan goalie who was screened and into the net for the game winner.
