Methacton 2, Phoenixville 1 >> Alexa Kratz’s goal a minute until halftime regained the lead for the Warriors and proved to be a game-winner in a PAC crossover win against the Phantoms Friday.
Grace Shields, assisted by Liz Chipman, opened the scoring for Methacton but Aubrie Breisblatt (Nicole Thompson assist) tied the game 2:25 before break. But Bayla Plower set up Kratz less than a minute later to fuel Methacton, which led 13-6 in shots and 20-0 in corners.
Hill School 8, Peddie School 0 >> The Blues, in their first Mid-Atlantic Prep League game of the season, had a strong showing against Peddie.
The Hill started strong, scoring less than two minutes into the game. Alex Conway started things off with back-to-back goals to give Hill a lead it wouldn’t relinquish. Logan Clouser had her second hat trick in as many games, Kennedy Cliggett and Ashley Kling would each tally one apiece and Emily Rakos netted her first goal of the season to finish off scoring for the day.
Pottsgrove 3, Brandywine Heights 1 >> Set up in the first half by Riley Simon, Cecilia Burg put the Falcons up 1-0 in Saturday’s non-league contest. Simon scored later in the first half to break a 1-1 tie and put Pottsgrove up 2-1 at half. Bailey Murphy put in an insurance goal in the second half to give the Grove the victory. Jayde Yorgey ended with two assists on the day for Pottsgrove.
Daniel Boone 4, Kutztown 0 >> Haley Engle scored two goals, and Mackenzie Ring had a goal and two assists, to lead the Blazers past the Cougars in Saturday’s non-divisional pairing of Berks League member schools.
Alex Howels completed Boone’s scoring. Ashley Finkbiner needed to make just one stop in goal to secure the clean sheet.
