Reporter Field Hockey Roundup: PW rolls past Abington; North Penn gets 1st win

Ava Borkowski finished with four goals and an assist while Hailey Copestick recorded a hat trick as Plymouth Whitemarsh rolled to a 10-0 SOL American Conference victory over Abington Thursday.

Kaleigh Missimer scored twice while Livia Truong also added a goal for the Colonials (4-0-0, 4-0-0 conference), who led 5-0 at halftime and reached double-digits goals for the second straight game. 

Kayla Link had a pair of assists, Molly Lynch collected an assist and PW goalie Sarah Track made six saves for her second shutout of the season.

North Penn 5, Quakertown 1 >> North Penn’s Eleni Kountroubis scored 59 seconds into the SOL Continental contest while  Deborah Kim made it 4-0 18 seconds before halftime as the Knights went on to claim their first victory of 2019.

Erin O’Donnell finished with a goal and assist while Jillian Lampitoc and Sierra Gee both scored for North Penn (1-3-1, 1-2-0). Alex Fein picked up an assist.

Lauren Junke had the goal for Quakertown (0-5-0, 0-3-0).

Wissahickon 9, Cheltenham 0 >> Grace Ball recorded four goals and an assist, Hannah Havrilla had two goals and two assists and Wissahickon cruised to its second straight victory.

Kate Lovensheimer collected three assists while Julia Schools scored twice for the Trojans (3-1-1, 3-1-0 SOL American). Ella Hummel had a goal and both Kendal Williams and Tess Klugherz handing out an assist.

Springfield-Montco 4, Hatboro-Horsham 1 >> Anya Kochanowicz finished with two goals and two assists as Springfield-Montco pulled away in the second half to earn an SOL American victory.

Kate Wojeck had a goal and assist for the Spartans, who scored all three goals after halftime. Kochanowicz made it 2-1 off a Maddie Yoder assist at 24:08. Kochanowicz then assisted on the next two goals — Marino at 21:40 then Wojeck with 18:11 remaining.

Abby Roesing had the goal for Hatboro-Horsham (2-4-0, 2-2-0) with Jada Mills collecting the assist.
