Defense lifts Interboro at Academy Park

Goalie Moriah Marr made six saves and Lily Fenstamacher added a defensive stop as Interboro blanked Academy Park in the Del Val League, 2-0.

Molly Dowling led the offense with one goal and one assist. Bri Mathis also had a goal for the Bucs.

In the Central League:
Haverford 3, Marple Newtown 1 >> Sophomores Sydney Corcoran and Kelsy Knapp scored the goals to give the Fords the win on Senior Night. Senior Laura Winters added an assist.

In the Bicentennial League:
Delco Christian 0, Plumstead Christian 0 >> Ana Yee made eight saves in goal to help the Knights earn a draw in overtime.

In nonleague action:
Cardinal O’Hara 2, C.B. East 1 >> Hannah Nihill put home a pass from Annmarie Banes with two minutes left in the first half and the defense turned in another outstanding effort to keep the Lions undefeated.
Sara Hayes scored the first goal for the Lions (15-0 overall, 7-0 Catholic League), while goalie Jen Ahearn made 14 saves.
Notre Dame 4, Bonner & Prendergast 0 >> Quinn Maguire tallied three times and Mary Kate Neff added two assists to pace the Irish (11-2-1).
Maguire scored two of her goals as Notre Dame opened up a 3-0 halftime lead.
Sacred Heart 2, Springside Chestnut Hill 0 >> Bella Chan found the back of the cage twice and goalie Colleen Vissar made 13 saves for the shutout.
