Tornetta’s OT goal lifts Agnes Irwin

Julianna Tornetta scored two goals, including the game winner at the 13:03 mark in overtime, and added an assist to lead Agnes Irwin to 4-3 nonleague field hockey game victory over Merion Mercy. Emma van der Veen also had two goals while her sister, Jax, Katie McGovern and Alex Conway all had an assist each for the Owls (5-5). Goalkeeper Paige DiLullo had 13 saves.

In the Del Val League:

Interboro 1, Academy Park 0 >> Sam Mosloskie had the only goal of the game while Moriah Marr (two saves) and Amelia Wellmon (one) secured the win in net. Taylor Zane had seven saves for the Knights.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 8, Springside Chestnut Hill 0 >> Corinne Zanolli led the way with two goals and an assist while six different players scored a goal for the Churchwomen. Goalkeepers Caroline Kelly had three saves and Bridget Boyle had five saves in the win.

In nonleague action:

Upper Darby 3, Pottsgrove 1 >> Grace Muldoon scored two goals, Tolu Olubajo added one of her own, and Mallor Perry made seven saves for the Royals.

Garnet Valley 2, Upper Merion 0 >> Mary Kate Shea scored on a corner and had an assist, and Kasey Burke also had a goal for the Jaguars (5-8). Bridget Elison had two saves for Garnet Valley.  

Haverford High 3, Plymouth Whitemarsh 1 >> After trailing 1-0 at the break, the Fords came back behind two goals from Kelsy Knapp and another from Jane Zarella to claim the win.
