BOWLING
Daniel Boone finished third and Spring-Ford sixth at the PA State Team Bowling Championships Saturday at Eastway Lanes in Erie.
The Blazers finished second in the qualifying round with Evan Miller bowling a three-game series of 589, followed by Blake Jeitles with 580 and Patrick Moore with 556. Boone’s score of 3,857, including two Baker sets, was second to Butler’s 3,917. Boone lost 2-0 in the Baker game semifinals to Manheim Township (179-160, 232-169), which then defeated Butler 2-1 in the final.
For Spring-Ford, Mason Doan – last year’s state singles champion – bowled a 640 three-game series and Michael Haley a 628 to earn All-State honors. The Rams bowled 3,754 in qualifying. Shikellamy won the girls title.
BOYS LACROSSE
Boyertown 14, Kennett 13
Aiden McFalls scored the go-ahead goal late in the fourth quarter for the Bears in a non-league win at Kennett. McFalls scored five in all along with a pair of assists and Tyler Diffenderfer had four goals and an assist. Other scorers for Boyertown included Gage Parker (2g, 2a), Mason Barndt (2g), Jason Oakes (1g), Brayden Kuhar (2a), Gio Daddario (2a), Gio Daddario (2a), Cole Marinello (1a) and Gavin Loshnowsky (1a).

Owen J. Roberts 16, Wilson 2
The Wildcats opened their season with a non-league win Saturday afternoon against the visiting Bulldogs. Alexa Vogelman had five goals and five assists and Gabbi Koury five goals and fours assists. Also for OJR, Ava Clemson scored twice, Colby Wasson recorded a goal and an assist and Pipi Waldman, Morgan Karas and Kalli Mullen each scored a goal. Korrigan Sweeny made four saves for the Wildcats, who led 8-2 at halftime.
