Mercury Lacrosse Roundup: Roop’s 100th point helps Perk Valley win

Perkiomen Valley 10, Interboro 4 >> Connor Roop scored a goal and assisted on four otheres, tallying his 100th career point in the process, as the Vikings picked up a PAC win Wednesday.

Matt Brock was 13-for-16 on faceoffs, scored three goals and scooped 13 ground balls. Matt Farrington scored four times to lead PV, and Rob Farrington made four saves.

Wilson 9, Boyertown 7 >> Brady McFalls scored four goals but Boyertown fell in a non-league game with Berks first-place Wilson (8-0, 12-3).

Kobi Bui, Grizz Eardley and Mike Federico added single scores for Boyertown, while Zach Mayan had seven groundballs.

Ethan Stitzel led the Bulldogs with four goals.

Girls lacrosse

Pope John Paul II 12, Pottstown 8 >> Despite Dazah Regusters’ six goals for the Trojans, the Golden Panthers prevailed in a PAC Frontier matchup.

Rory Nilsen and Julie Cherneskie scored three goals apiece for PJP and Kallan Bustynowicz had two goals and an assist. Pottstown goalie Reilly Owens had 17 saves; counterpart Grace Drewicz made eight.

Germantown Academy 16, Hill School 6 >> GA’s Cameron Korman had two goals and eight assists as Hill School lost a non-league outing.

Pottsgrove 10, Upper Merion 8 >> The Falcons clinched the PAC Frontier title with a win over the Vikings.

Emily Williams scored four goals, and Katie Bean tallied two scores. Sydney Tornetta, Allie Reppert, Riley Simon and Jordyn Mayes also scored, while Alyssa Petrucelli added two assists. Riley O’Malley had six goals for Upper Merion.

Perkiomen Valley 12, Boyertown 11 >> A neck-and-neck battle went the way of the Vikings thanks in part to the five-goal outing of Riley McGettigan on Wednesday.

Kat Kelley added three goals for PV. Liz Tamasitis and Kristi Kada led Boyertown with four scores each.

Phoenixville 14, Upper Perkiomen 4 >> Mary Michaud had five goals and an assist as the Phantoms rolled by the Indians Wednesday.

Ameerah Green notched fou scores, Andrea Hook had a pair and single goals were turned in by Maddie White, Katie Baker and Kyra Trafford. Courtney Bauer and Bella Carpenter each scored twice for UP.

Owen J. Roberts 19, Spring-Ford 11 >> The Wildcats went wild after halftime with 11 second-half scores in a win over the Rams Wednesday.
Hannah Delahaye scored eight goals and Eloise Gebert tallied five for PAC unbeaten OJR. Maddi Koury had a goal and three assists.
