Wing, Foster power Ridley’s surge over Conestoga

Julian Wing (17 total points) and Brett Foster (15) combined for 15 points in the fourth quarter as Ridley claimed a 55-39 win over Conestoga in a battle of Central League unbeatens.
Ryan Bollinger added 10 points for Ridley (5-0, 3-0).

Lower Merion 72, Garnet Valley 55 >> Terrell Jones scored 20 points to lead the Aces to a win, the 500th in Gregg Downer’s tenure.

Austin Laughlin canned five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points. He was joined in double-figures by Brandon Starr (13 points), Ryan McCrossan (12) and Carl Tienabeso (11) for GV (2-2, 0-2).

Haverford 52, Upper Darby 39 >> Jack Donaghy scored a career-high 18 points on 14-for-18 from the line as the Fords prevailed.

Connor Giulfoil added 13 points, and Pat Corbett chipped in 12 as the Fords (1-3, 1-2) needed just three baskets in the second half to get their first win.

Maurice Grier scored 17 points for Upper Darby (1-4, 0-3).

Radnor 54, Harriton 32 >> Michael Li and Jake Bodenger scored 13 points apiece, and Vinnie Kelly scored all 11 of his points in a first quarter that the Raiders (3-2, 2-1) dominated, 23-2, in coasting.

Springfield 55, Marple Newtown 38 >> Kyle Sullivan scored a game-high 18 points, and Nick Fox and Mason Liberty chipped in 10 apiece for the Cougars (3-3, 1-2).

Mike Rutecki led Marple (1-4, 0-3) with 11 points.

In nonleague action:

Episcopal Academy 65, Phelps School 64 >> Kyle Sacchetta hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 14.5 seconds left to lead the Churchmen to a significant win after trailing by nine entering the fourth quarter.

Nick Alikakos did it all, scoring 33 points to go with 21 rebounds and four assists for EA (6-1).

Penn Wood 75, Bonner-Prendergast 51 >> Calvin Melton scored 17 points and dished six assists, leading four Patriots in double-figures.

Javon Lindsey-Terrell scored 14 points, Vincent Smalls added 13, and Kairi Jones paired 11 points with six assists for Penn Wood (3-1).

Keith Washington led the way for BP with 11 points.

Downingtown West 67, Academy Park 66 >> DeAndray Covert scored a team-high 19 points, but the final two of Ryan Betley’s 30 points came with four seconds left to give the Whippets the win.

Jawan Collins scored 13 points to go with six rebounds, seven assists and five steals, and Nakim Stokes added 13 points for the Knights (2-3).

Chichester 88, Christian Academy 59 >> Eric Montanez scored a game-high 22 points, Derrick Welles added 18 and Jamai Womack supplied 16 for the Eagles (2-3).

Jalen Sherrill led TCA with 17 points, and Brit Haseltine dished 11 assists.

Church Farm 31, Glen Mills 29 >> DaQuan Dantzler scored a team-high nine points, but the Bulls (2-4) squandered an eight-point lead after three.

In the Bicentennial League:

Faith Christian 47, Delco Christian 37 >> Wyatt Harkins scored 20 points, and Devin Hill added 11, but the Knights (2-1, 0-1) were without three starters in dropping their league opener.
