Stevens makes most of his first start for Penn Wood

Keivon Stevens made his first start a memorable one, posting a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds to guide Penn Wood past Glen Mills, 76-52, in Del Val League boys basketball action Thursday.

Davanta Smith led the Patriots with 16 points, and Antonio Campbell chipped in 15 points. Ahmir Jackson added 10 for the Patriots (10-6, 4-2 Del Val).

Jabriel Guinyard led Glen Mills with 14 points.

Also in the Del Val League:

Chester 96, Chichester 62 >> Karell Watkins notched yet another double-double with 25 points and 16 points as the Clippers ran out to their ninth straight win.

Michael Smith added 17 points, Rahmee Gilbert tossed in 12 and Zahmir Carroll paired five points with 10 rebounds for the Clippers (13-4, 6-0).

Calvin Church paced Chichester- with 22 points. Josh Hankins scored 14 points and Jasir Shaw added 12 for the Eagles (3-15, 2-4).

Academy Park 59, Interboro 45 >> Shermik Lofton returned to action with 17 points, and Jalen Cassidy added 15 as the Knights took care of business despite trailing by two at halftime. Bangalay Jabateh added 12 points for AP (11-5, 3-3).

Damon Dukes led Interboro with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Jared Dellipriscoli added 10 points and eight boards.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Sun Valley 62, Oxford 40 >> Vinny DeAngelo continued his recent torrid scoring with a game-high 25 points, and Isaac Kennon backed him with 19 points as the Vanguards halted a two-game slide. Marvin Freeman tossed in 11 for Sun Valley (12-5, 6-2).
