Reporter Boys Basketball Roundup: Pennridge routs CB East to claim outright SOL Continental title

The Pennridge boys basketball team had four players in double figures – led by Sean Yoders’ 19 points – as the Rams scored a season-high in clinching the outright Suburban One League Continental Conference title Tuesday night by rolling past Central Bucks East 89-60.

John Dominic and Jon Post both finished with 16 points for Pennridge (19-2, 10-1 conference), which won its 15 straight game. Jack Gillespie made five of the Rams’ 13 3-pointers in scoring 15 points.

Pennridge led 20-14 after the first quarter but outscored East 22-8 over the next eight minutes to go into halftime up 42-22. The Rams, who claimed their first outright conference crown since 2016, proceeded to post 31 points in the third to hold a 73-43 advantage.

Nick Roggio scored 19 points to lead the Patriots (14-7, 6-6),  which had their three-game win streak stopped. Jack Hamilton added 15 points.

Dock Mennonite 69, Calvary Christian 47 >> Darius Ellis and Nolan Bolton both scored 18 points to pace Dock Mennonite as the Pioneers pulled away in the second half of the BAL Presidents Division contest to win its third straight.

Jackon Scialanca chipped in 10 points for Dock (17-4, 13-1 division). Ellis scored 10 of his points in the first quarter, which ended with the Pioneers up 20-10. Up 50-37 after three quarters, Dock outscored Calvary Christian 19-10 in the fourth.

Jalen Adams scored a game-high 19 points for Calvary (6-15, 3-11), which lost its third in a row.

Plumstead Christian 52, Jenkintown 34 >> Carson Curry collected 27 points – going 13-for-15 from the foul line – as Plumstead Christian built a 15-point lead at halftime as the Lions snapped a four-game losing skid with a BAL Constitution victory over host Jenkintown.

Drew Grow added 18 points for Plumstead (11-9, 6-6 division). Cole Pickens had 11 points to pace Jenkintown (5-17, 2-12), which lost its third straight.

Episcopal Academy 61, Germantown Academy 51 >> Jordan Longino paced Germantown Academy with 22 points as the Patriots were handed a second-straight loss in the Inter-Ac contest.

Episocpal Academy led 34-23 at halftime and stretched its advantage to 18 (49-31) going into the fourth. Matt Dade scored a game-high 25 points for the Churchmen (11-13, 4-6 league), who ended a two-game skid. Alex Capitano had 18 points.

Zachary Anderson chipped in 16 points for GA (11-12, 2-7).
