Reporter Boys Basketball Roundup: Archbishop Wood edges Wildwood Catholic

Archbishop Wood 54, Wildwood Catholic (N.J.) 52 >> Archbishop Wood had three players score in double figures — led by Rahsool Diggins’ 14 points — as the Vikings topped Wildwood Catholic Monday at the Dajuan Wagner Play-By-Play Classic at Cherry Hill East.

Daeshon Shepherd finished with 13 points while Marcus Randolph had 10 points for Wood (5-3, 1-0 PCL), who have won three straight and four of its last five. 

For Wildwood Catholic, Taj Thweatt scored a game-high 21 points while Jahlil White finished with 14 points.

William Tennent 42, Souderton 38 >> Derrik Cosenza posted a game-high 24 points as William Tennent edged Souderton in Monday’s SOL nonconference contest for its third straight victory.

Josiah Johnson added 10 points for the Panthers (5-3, 1-1 SOL National). Dom Natale scored 17 points for the Indians  (7-3, 2-1 SOL Continental) while Jason Price added 16 points.

Boyertown 44, North Penn 35 >> Boyertown’s Tre Diguglielmo had a game-high 22 points as the Bears jumped out to an eight-point lead after a quarter and went on to hand North Penn a nonleague loss Monday.

Josh Jones paced the Knights (2-7, 0-2 SOL Continental) with nine points. Boyertown (8-2, 2-1 PAC Liberty) has won seven straight.

Xavier (N.Y.) 51, Central Bucks East 47 >> Joe Jackman led Central Bucks East with 18 points but the Patriots could not rally back from an eight-point deficit entering the fourth and fell in Monday’s Jam Division final at the Cactus Jam in Phoenix, Arizona.

The loss snapped a three-game win streak for East (5-5, 1-2 SOL Continental)
