Lane’s big play keeps Bonner & Prendergast moving

It required a huge fourth-quarter comeback, but Bonner & Prendergast is moving on in the Philadelphia Catholic League playoffs.

Christian Lane’s steal and layup with 10 seconds to go broke a tie and lifted the Friars to a 49-47 first-round victory over Conwell-Egan.

Three players scored in double figures as the Friars erased an 11-point deficit in the final eight minutes to defeat Conwell-Egan, 49-47, in first-round action.

John Hargraves led with 11 points for the Friars, who closed the game on a 22-9 run in the final period. Lane and Keith Washington netted 10 points apiece.
