Anderson, Butler give Carroll a boost

Justin Anderson flirted with a triple-double in Archbishop Carroll’s 76-62 nonleague victory against Cheltenham Wednesday.

Anderson scored a game-high 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out five assists for the Patriots (3-0). Keyon Butler added 16 points and seven rebounds, while Devon Ferrero had 13 points and seven boards. Luke House chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds.

In other nonleague action:

Bonner & Prendergast 90, Math, Civics & Sciences 57 >> Isaiah Wong went off for 27 points and Tariq Ingraham paired 13 points with 13 rebounds as the Friars crushed last season’s PIAA Class 2A semifinalists. Bonner outscored MCS, 51-26 in the second half. Donovan Rodriguez contributed 10 points and Tyreese Watson and Michael Perretta each tossed in nine for the Friars.

Penn Wood 71, Spring-Ford 63 >> Julian Holloway led three Patriots (2-2) in double figures with 16 points. Chris Nash poured in 15, Shad Kyem added 13 and Amir Wilmore finished with 12.
